About us

ASOCIATION SUN RE - BATTERY is a Collective Extended Producer Responsibility System (SCRAP) for Batteries and Accumulators, established with the commitment and support of Battery and Accumulator Producers.

SUN RE – BATTERY is established in collaboration with the SCRAP of electrical and electronic devices SUNREUSE ASSOCIATION.

The objective of SUN RE – BATTERY is to manage all types of batteries and accumulators in accordance with their correct classification as established in Royal Decree 106/2008, of 1 February, on batteries and accumulators and the environmental management of their waste and other regulations.

SUN RE - BATTERY ASSOCIATION has been created in accordance with Organic Law 1/2002 of 22 March on the Right of Association, Royal Decree 1497/2003 of 28 November on the National Register of Associations, and Law 30/1992 of 26 November on RJPAC.

Furthermore, SUN RE - BATTERY was founded using the principles of the new Law 7/2022 of 8 April on waste and contaminated soil for a circular economy and the provisions of Royal Decree 710/2015 of 24 July, amending Royal Decree 106/2008 of 1 February on batteries and accumulators and the environmental management of their waste, as well as Royal Decree 110/2015 of 20 February on Electrical and Electronic Equipment, with the sole purpose of implementing a Collective Extended Producer Responsibility System (SCRAP) for waste batteries, accumulators and batteries at the national level so that manufacturers and producers comply with the obligations arising from Royal Decree 110/2015 and Royal Decree 106/2008.

Our objective as a SCRAP for batteries and accumulators is to provide full coverage of the obligations of participating producers.
