About us

The SUNRE - BATTERY ASSOCIATION is a Collective System of Extended Producer Responsibility (SCRAP) for Batteries and Accumulators constituted with the commitment and support of Batteries and Accumulators Producers.

The ASSOCIATION SUNRE – BATTERY arises to respond to our already adhered to SUNREUSE ASSOCIATION which is authorized with NATIONAL SCOPE as WEEE SCRAP by the MINISTRY OF ECOLOGICAL TRANSITION AND DEMOGRAPHIC CHALLENGE with the National Authorization Code 14/SCR/RAP/CV of the Registry of Production and Management of Waste of the Valencian Community according to resolution of the General Director of Quality and Environmental Education of February 6, 2020.

The objective of SUNRE – BATTERY is to manage all kinds of Batteries and Accumulators according to the classification into 7 categories of all the Batteries and Accumulators that we generate in homes or industries in accordance with Royal Decree 106/2008, of February 1, on batteries and accumulators and the environmental management of their waste.

The ASSOCIATION SUNRE - BATTERY has been created in accordance with LO 1/2002 of March 22 of the Right of Association, RD 1497/2003 of November 28 of the National Registry of Associations and Law 30/1992 of November 26 of RJPAC . SUNRE - BATTERY is registered in the National Registry of Associations under number 625330.

In addition, SUNRE - BATTERY has been founded using the principles of the new Law 7/2022 of April 8, on waste and contaminated soil for a circular economy and with the provisions of Royal Decree 710/2015, of July 24, by which modifies Royal Decree 106/2008, of February 1, on batteries and accumulators and the environmental management of their waste, as well as Royal Decree 110/2015 of February 20, on Electrical and Electronic Devices with the purpose of exclusive right to implement a Collective System of Extended Producer Responsibility (SCRAP) for Waste Batteries and Accumulators at the national level so that manufacturers and producers comply with the obligations derived from RD 110/2015 and RD 106/2008.

Our objective as PYA SCRAP is to fully cover the obligations of the adhered Battery and Accumulator Producers.
